JD Tile was recently contacted from a customer who was educated on using Schluter proucts in a shower remodel. Schluter is known by professional and DIY types because of all the workshops they hold each year throughout the US to educate. Because of JD Tile’s diversity, Schluter is one method he uses. Having a variety of methods to prep a shower allows him to fit the customer’s needs to get them an 100% waterproof shower before any tile is installed. Waterproofing the shower receptor is the most important process in doing tile, failures occur when contractors are not educated in this realm. JD Tile makes sure the shower is waterproofed before any tile is installed. JD Tile is about high quality, not rushing to get it done. We do it once and we do it right! This shower utilizes a kerdi line drain vs the standard 4″ drain in the center of the shower pan floor. This project also includes radiant floor heat in the bathroom floor only installed in the foot spaces. Radiant heat can be used as the main source of heat in the room if so desired. This shower includes some unique design ideas which JD Tile is known for. We brainstorm with the customer to get the best possible layout which includes the customer’s needs. Glass will be used to create a niche effect, the glass being used as the sil in this case.
